Introduction: The double earthquake in Venezuela in July 2026 demanded an immediate supportive response and mobilized nursing students toward field assistance. Objective: To characterize the solidarity participation of students at the School of Nursing of the Central University of Venezuela in order to demonstrate the altruistic and volunteer competencies deployed, and to propose curriculum guidelines. Methods: Descriptive study with a mixed approach and cross-sectional field design (N=196). In July 2026, a digital questionnaire validated by experts was administered, combining quantitative variables and qualitative inductive coding. Results: Supply collection logistics (73.0%) and health care and first aid (53.1%) predominated. Agreement was high for empathy and respect (93.9%), practical application (88.8%), and decision-making (88.7%). Qualitatively, vocational reaffirmation and ethical commitment emerged. Conclusion: The solidarity experience demonstrates consolidated altruistic competencies that justify their curriculum integration.
