Objective: To analyze the habit of digital sucking in infants. Methods: A systematic review of 15 scientific articles was carried out. Conclusion: Tooth eruption and malocclusions in pediatric dentistry are multifactorial phenomena that require in-depth understanding and early intervention to mitigate their negative effects on children's oral health. Parental education plays a crucial role in the management of signs and symptoms of tooth eruption, while early identification and correction of malocclusions and deleterious oral habits can prevent future complications, specific conditions such as bite injuries and congenital Zika syndrome underline the need for multidisciplinary and personalized approaches.
