Objective: to analyze the effect of detergent and cariogenic foods in infants aged 5-10 years. Method: Descriptive documentary. Conclusion: This study underlines the importance of diet in the oral health of children aged 5-10 years. Detergent foods have a protective effect, while cariogenic foods increase the risk of dental caries. The promotion of a balanced diet and education on healthy eating habits are essential for the prevention of caries and the promotion of optimal oral health.
