Objective: To analyze oral diseases, access to dental care and care needs in a geriatric population. Method: Descriptive documentary. Conclusion: Addressing oral diseases in the geriatric population requires a comprehensive approach ranging from public policies to adapted clinical practices. Improving access to dental care, educating about the importance of oral care and tailoring services to the specific needs of older adults are essential steps to promote better oral and general health in this growing population.
