Abstract

Objective: To analyze the prevalence of bacterial plaque in dental students. Method: Descriptive documentary, the population was 15 articles published in PubMed. Conclusion: The prevalence of bacterial plaque in dental students underlines the need for a more comprehensive educational approach that effectively connects theoretical knowledge with the daily practice of oral hygiene. Despite their advanced training, the persistence of bacterial plaque indicates deficiencies in the implementation of oral care habits, potentially exacerbated by academic load and stress.
