Abstract

Objective: To analyze the incidence of anxiety, depression and stress in students in Ecuador. Method: Descriptive observational. Results: according to the DASS 21 questionnaire, the following results are presented: 1.25% (n=1) of the total population studied had extremely severe depression, this being the least frequent in terms of depression, and 35% (n=28) had moderate anxiety, these results being reflected with greater relevance. Conclusion: The results obtained in our analysis confirm the moderate prevalence of symptoms of depression, anxiety and stress among Ecuadorian students, in agreement with previous research. Specific interventions should be implemented to promote mental health in this population, as indicated by the studies reviewed, which point to the high incidence of these symptoms and their negative impact on student quality of life.
