Objective: To study malocclusions and their impact on the quality of life of children. Method: Descriptive documentary. Conclusion: The scientific evidence consulted for this study showed that the malocclusions that are present in children affect the OHRQoL in a significant way, affecting the self-confidence of each individual and the family. It was also emphasized that malocclusions can be caused by genetic and environmental factors that influence the development and prevalence of malocclusions in children. Health professionals, doctors and dentists have to work together to correct malocclusions in children either by applying treatments such as orthodontics which is very efficient or by applying the Frankel, Twin block or RTBLP-RME appliances, which also have a positive impact on correcting malocclusions in children.
