Abstract

Objective: To analyze the effectiveness of the application of mini-implants as anchorage during orthodontic treatment to achieve dental intrusion movements. Method: Descriptive documentary. Conclusion: Mini-implants as an anchorage method are an excellent treatment alternative as they function as a temporary and conservative method during orthodontic treatment for intrusion, as it is a non-surgical application with excellent results in a short time and with fewer changes in the periodontal structure. The mini-implant is efficient at a lower amount of force applied for intrusion, as it has a higher percentage of effectiveness of 95.51%, as opposed to the 4.46% referring to the higher amount of force applied, which by means of purely statistical results allows us to support this affirmation achieved by means of a thorough investigation of different scientific articles.
