Objective: to analyze the prevalence, histological characteristics, location and treatment of odontomas in children and adolescents. Method: Descriptive documentary study. Results: Odontomas were found to be most common in the maxillary incisor to canine region, with a prevalence of 67%, and in the anteroinferior and posteroinferior regions of the mandible, with a prevalence of 33%. Conclusion: It is important to emphasize the importance of careful assessment of the extent and location of the odontoma to determine the most appropriate treatment plan. In addition, the age of the patient and the aesthetic and functional impact of the lesion should be considered in the treatment decision.
