Abstract

Objective: To identify strategies for pain control during endodontic treatment of biopulpectomy. Method: Descriptive documentary. Conclusion: The techniques used to treat endodontic pain include pharmacological treatment as the main choice, where NSAIDs were found to be the drugs of first choice for pain control after root canal treatment. This pharmacological management of endodontic pain is effective, but this does not mean that it is completely free of side effects and, in certain cases, may not provide adequate relief, which is why acupuncture is considered as an alternative treatment. This treatment has the ability to not only treat the pain but will also reduce the anxiety associated with undergoing this dental procedure.
