Demographic and clinical characterization of patients treated for acute coronary syndrome

Objective: To characterize demographically in the clinic of patients attended with acute coronary syndrome. Methods: Descriptive observational study, the population consisted of 142 patients diagnosed with AMI who attended for troponin I (cardiac-specific) tests between July 2021 and July 2022. Results: The age group with the most cases of acute coronary syndrome was 61-80 years, where more than 50% were over 61 years of age. The majority were male with 55.63% and women with 44.36%, more than 69.71% belonged to the urban area, with primary schooling, and with high triglyceride values in 40.84% of patients.
