Objective: to analyze molecular biology and its importance in the medical career. Method: Descriptive documentary. Results and conclusion: Molecular biology plays a fundamental role in medicine due to its ability to provide a complete understanding of the molecular mechanisms underlying biological processes, diseases and therapeutic interventions. Its importance is reflected in several key aspects. In addition, molecular biology techniques have revolutionized medical diagnostics by enabling accurate and sensitive detection of pathogens, genetic variations and disease-associated biomarkers.
