Abstract

Objective: To evaluate the level of knowledge of general dentists and specialists on the management of occupational accidents involving sharps. Methods: Descriptive, observational, cross-sectional. The population was 30 dentists. There were 15 general dentists and 15 specialist dentists. Results and conclusion: After analyzing the results of the research, the null hypothesis was chosen, which establishes that the level of knowledge of general dentists and specialists on the management of occupational accidents involving sharps in the city of Ibarra in the period 2023 is similar, and which shows that general dentists have a percentage of knowledge of 80%, and specialists have 79%.
