Objective: To know the application and implementation of these programs in professionals and students, to identify the relationship that digital design currently maintains, and to know if these digital programs comply with the basic principles of prosthetics. Method: Descriptive documentary with bibliographic review in a population of 15 articles located in PubMed database. Conclusion: The implementation of digital programs focused on the PPR, currently give significant results and great benefits in the manufacture and design thanks to the new materials applied and the software that helps to a better precision and adaptation, as well as to ensure a better stability and retention of the prosthetic material compared to traditional techniques.
