Knowledge and use of contraceptive methods in university students

Abstract

Objective: To analyze the knowledge and use of contraceptive methods in university students. Methods: Observational, descriptive and cross-sectional study. Results: The subdermal implant was used by 22 people, that is, 9.6%. All in a frequency of 1 to 5 times and without failure of the contraceptive method, of these people. Conclusion: The concepts of contraceptive methods for the prevention of pregnancy are well known in the community, being relevant to provide a statistical basis on the level of knowledge of contraceptive methods in three of the four schools of the Faculty of Public Health, since they are related to the health field, it is essential that students have a high level of knowledge.
