Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of the use of a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) for the teaching of accounting to students of the Technical Baccalaureate in Accounting of the "Manta" Fiscal Educational Unit. It was an explanatory study with a pre- and post-test design for an intervention group. The bilateral significance value at the post-test moment indicates a result of 0.2 compared to 0 at the pre-test moment, showing that there was a statistical change between both moments, which affirms that the use of a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) for the teaching of accounting was effective. Four fundamental aspects should be taken care of: the publication of the study material, communication between teachers and students, encouraging collaborative work and taking care of the organization of the subject; so that the student's experience is enjoyable and motivated to learn the subject of accounting.
