Design and validation of the instrument to characterize the sustainable management of urban green spaces

Abstract

The objective of this work is to develop an instrument to characterize the sustainable management of urban green spaces. The research is non-experimental, descriptive, with a quantitative approach since its indicators are numerically measurable values. For the validation of the survey, a pretest was elaborated based on literature and expert criteria and was applied to 10% of the original sample. When applied, it was possible to identify that 73.13% of the questions were correctly formulated, facilitating rapid comprehension by the user and encouraging a direct and quick response. The results of Cronbach's alpha showed a value of 0.924 in the analysis of all the items. The Chi-square test determined that there is a relationship between sustainable environmental management and urban green areas. The survey was determined by 45 items.
