Social pressure and legislative response to gender violence in Ecuador

The general objective of the research was to legally analyze the social pressure and the legislative response to gender violence in Ecuador. This research used the quantitative method, based on a documentary-bibliographic review. In addition, the inductive-deductive method was applied. The analytical-synthetic method was also used. It can be concluded that gender violence is associated with any action that has the intention of causing harm, be it psychological, physical, emotional, economic or sexual, and for this reason the State has seen the need to create regulations and establish policies where public and private institutions are obliged to ensure that there is no violence or discrimination of any kind.
