Objective: To analyze health professional’s perceptions of alternative and/or complementary medicine. Method: Descriptive observational. Results: There was strong support for this statement, with 50% of the physicians surveyed "strongly agreeing" and 20% "agreeing" with this idea. Twenty percent did not express a clear position, indicating indecision or lack of knowledge about the involvement of MAC specialists in the health field. Conclusion: Health professionals' perceptions of OMC are varied and influenced by multiple factors, including educational background, personal experiences, and cultural influences. Well-designed public health policies can facilitate more effective and safer integration of MAC, promoting a holistic approach to health care.
