Impacto del estrés en la práctica de Enfermería

Antecedentes: Uno de los mayores retos del personal de enfermería en el periodo de pandemia por COVID-19, ha sido el relacionado a la salud mental. Objetivo: analizar el impacto del estrés en el personal de enfermería en una institución sanitaria pública de la provincia de Manabí – Ecuador. Metodología: De tipo descriptiva observacional no experimental. Resultados: El factor con mayor importancia de los encuestados, se radicó en la actualización profesional durante el período inicial de pandemia por COVID-19, considerándose como un elemento fundamental para abordar la atención del paciente, seguido del trabajo en equipo. El mayor porcentaje es relacionado al estrés, sin embargo, la ansiedad es un estado que antecede a la generación de estrés. Conclusión: El estrés se encuentra presente en el personal de enfermería, sumado a factores como la depresión y ansiedad, que combinados juegan un rol adverso en la salud mental.
