Objective: Of the study was to analyze hypertension and associated factors in adults treated at the Camarón Health Center in Ecuador. Method: The study was conducted using a quantitative approach. The methodological scope was analytical, correlational, and comparative. The population consisted of 1,347 adult patients aged 20 to 64 years of both sexes. The sample size was calculated using the formula for finite populations, resulting in a sample of 299 participants. Results: 42.1% of the 299 participants in the study had a previous diagnosis of high blood pressure, while the remaining participants were at the threshold for high blood pressure. Conclusion: A high proportion of habits and risk factors for cardiovascular disease was identified among the study participants, as nearly half of the sample reported low levels of physical activity and frequent consumption of foods high in salt or sodium.
