Abstract

Objective: To analyze care during the transition from primary to permanent dentition. Method: Descriptive observational study. Results: 38.78% (n=19) did not go to the dentist due to lack of time. 8.16% (n=4) did not attend due to lack of financial resources. 40.82% (n=20) do go to the dentist. 12.24% (n=6) do not go because they do not have a professional they trust. Conclusion: Oral hygiene care for children is very important, as it is for adults, because in the first years of life habits and customs of dental care are formed, ensuring the development of children's teeth in their growth stage, as in the period from the primary to the permanent dentition, in children aged 6 to 7 years.
