Efficacy of cryotherapy in the prevention of chemotherapy-related oral mucositis

Objective: To analyze the efficacy of cryotherapy as a method for the prevention of oral mucositis in chemotherapy patients. Method: Descriptive documentary. Conclusion: The evidence for the efficacy of oral cryotherapy in the prevention of oral mucositis is mixed and further research is needed to draw firm conclusions. Each patient should consult with their medical team to assess the potential benefits and risks of oral cryotherapy in their particular situation.
