Pre-prosthetic surgeries for dental rehabilitation

Objective: To analyze preprosthetic surgeries for dental rehabilitation. Method: A documentary design was applied, with a systematic review of 15 bibliographies in databases such as PubMed, Scielo and Google Scholar. Conclusion: Pre-prosthetic surgeries are characterized by their low complexity, focusing mainly on exodontia, endodontia, dentoalveolar surgery, cystectomies, among others, with the aim of creating support structures for hard and soft tissues that are suitable for the subsequent placement of prosthetic devices, performed more frequently in edentulous or partially edentulous patients, for functional and aesthetic purposes and to improve the patient's quality of life.
