Treatment alternatives for alveolitis

Objective: To analyze the treatment alternatives for alveolitis. Method: Descriptive documentary, 17 articles published in PubMed, Scielo, Latindex were reviewed. Conclusion: There are several treatments for alveolitis in which pharmacological therapeutic treatment is the most commonly used, making use of antibiotics, analgesics and anti-inflammatory drugs in order to provide immediate relief and a speedy recovery for the patient, although no consensus has been reached on the Gold Standard for the treatment of alveolitis, the most common treatment, apart from the use of antibiotics, analgesics and anti-inflammatory drugs, is the use of alveogyl or alvogyl.
