Objective: To analyze alcohol consumption and how it affects oral tissues. Method: Descriptive documentary. Conclusion: Prolonged alcohol addiction and lifestyle changes such as personal neglect, poor oral hygiene and poor eating habits will affect the adolescent as a whole, especially the mouth. Patients with alcohol dependence often find it difficult to attend appointments reliably and may have problems complying with treatment plans. It is also crucial that a history of alcohol use is recorded in the medical record before care is provided. Alcohol addiction in young people is associated with oral health problems, such as generalized deterioration of the oral cavity.
