Abstract

Objective: to analyze the CAD/CAM system in the field of removable prosthesis design and fabrication. Method: Documentary descriptive, 15 articles published in PubMed and Scielo were reviewed. Results and Conclusion: CAD-CAM has transformed the fabrication of removable prostheses, bringing greater precision, fit and efficiency to the process. Its benefits include optimal fit, greater patient comfort, and faster and more consistent production. Various 3D printing technologies are used in the design and fabrication of prostheses.
