Abstract

Objective: to analyze keratoconus associated with its treatment with contact lenses. Method: Descriptive documentary. Conclusion: Keratoconus presents difficulties in contact lens fitting due to the irregular topography of the cornea. The steepest area of the cone is usually displaced inferiorly, inferonasally or inferotemporally. Depending on the shape of the cone, whether round and central or oval and curved, changes in corneal morphology occur.
