Abstract

Objective: To expose the effective diagnosis of an infrequent pathology (osteochondromas) produced by multiple exostoses. Method: Descriptive documentary. Conclusion: Osteochondromatosis or multiple exostosis is a disease with a frequency of 1/50,000 to 100,000 inhabitants, affecting men more often than women. Bone scintigraphy is indicated for the differential diagnosis of other osteoarticular processes, assessment of lesional extension and evolutionary control. Some authors point out that the usual images in bone scintigraphy allow ruling out the possibility of malignant transformation.
