Abstract

Objective: to analyze current trends in the management of familial adenomatous polyposis syndrome. Method: Descriptive documentary. Conclusion: It was possible to learn about the ideal surgical treatment so that our patient can present an improvement in his quality of life. It was also deduced that once the disease is detected, surgery will be needed to prevent colon cancer. Surgery may also be needed if a cancerous polyp is identified.
