Habits of oral hygiene in children 5 to 10 years old with visual impairment

Abstract

Objective: To promote a plan of workshops on oral hygiene habits in children from 5 to 10 years old with visual impairment, aimed at professionals in special educational needs, teachers and parents of the Specialized Educational Unit La Joya, in order to teach and raise awareness of the importance of proper oral hygiene. Method: Descriptive observational study. Results: 20% show that it is important to visit the pediatric dentist for dental follow-up to make sure that the child has good oral health habits. Conclusion: Training on these subjects should be given to teachers so that they can educate and apply this knowledge to the children.
