General considerations of oral surgery

Oral surgery corresponds to a «surgical specialty that contains the diagnosis, surgery and corresponding treatments of a wide spectrum of diseases, wounds and aesthetic aspects of the mouth, teeth, face, head and neck. This article aims to make a brief review of the techniques involved in oral surgery, the necessary education of the professional of this branch of dentistry, some anomalies related to inclusions or semi-inclusions of teeth, with or without impaction in the jaw, as well as cases of surgery for benign lesions, in the maxillofacial area.
