Burnout syndrome as a factor associated with work stress of nursing staff

Abstract

Objective: to determine the relationship between Burnout Syndrome and work stress in nursing staff in the intensive care unit due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which serve as a reference point for future research. Method: Documentary review. Population of 15 scientific articles in databases: Scielo, PubMed, Latindex 2.0. Results and conclusion: Mental health and its complications are an evident problem among health personnel. The most affected personnel turns out to be nursing, as they are exposed to worse working conditions without the necessary inputs and resources to carry out their activities.
