Abstract

Objective: to determine the relationship of delirium with the environmental stressors of the environment in intensive care units. Method: Systematic review. Results and conclusion: Through the analysis of the information obtained, it can be evidenced that there is a close relationship between environmental stressors and the origin of delirium. The main stressors of the hospital environment in which the nursing staff can work have been identified, which are mainly the modifiable factors in which psychosocial stress, sleep deprivation, are factors that the staff can prevent by initially urging these measures not to resort to pharmacological measures.
