Actions to improve the safety of emergency patients

Objective: The general objective of the research was to describe actions to improve the safety of emergency patients. Method: The method developed in this study was based on the quantitative perspective using documentary-bibliographic typologies that help to establish the analysis of the object of research. The material approached consisted of degree theses, scientific research and refereed works. In addition, a survey was applied to patients according to the inclusion criteria. Results: The Hospital Básico Jipijapa has a percentage of less than 50% in patient safety compliance. In conclusion: The active participation of the health team and administrative personnel becomes an indispensable tool for the fulfillment of the objectives set by the institution, and training and education on safe practices can strengthen their development and be reflected in health care.
