Abstract

Objective: To analyze the aesthetic intervention of the gingival smile using botulinum toxin as a minimally invasive technique. Method: Descriptive documentary review of 15 articles. Conclusion: Botulinum toxin in dentistry has become one of the most important treatments in the marketing and social relations industry in the last decade, as it is a treatment that provides the patient with an almost immediate effect on the harmony of his smile, it is undoubtedly the main option before surgical treatments due to its easy recovery. It should be noted that it is temporary and needs to undergo retreatments, the specialist should be related to the instructions of the commercial manufacturer of botulinum toxin in order to offer the patient the correct application and information.
