Objective: To know the opinion of the students of the dental school of UNIANDES, Ambato - Ecuador. Method: Descriptive observational. Results: Of the 274 responses obtained in our survey, 153 students prefer to keep the baby rather than abort, which means that 53% of our population would not abort, while the rest of the population, 20.1% of the population prefers to give the baby up for adoption, 24.1% of the population prefers to abort. Conclusion: After having seen what the issue of abortion generates nowadays, we can say that abortion will always be controversial, due to the fact that many factors intervene at the moment of abortion, for example, among university students, factors such as not having enough information about abortion intervene.
