Abstract

Objective: To analyze the influence of different concentrations of sodium hypochlorite on root canal irrigation. Method: Descriptive documentary with a bibliographic review of 15 articles located in PubMed, Scopus and WOS databases.  Conclusion: There are factors that affect the properties of sodium hypochlorite decreasing its irrigating effects, among these we find the temperature when this increases also increases the solvent power on necrotic tissues. Currently there is no ideal measure so each specialist will determine the concentration depending on the severity of the dental piece, or if it is necessary to dissolve it with chelating agents so that the solution is safer in the treatment.
