Ballantyne syndrome: Diagnostic challenge

Objective: To identify the main clinical manifestations that occur in Ballantyne Syndrome, associated with different pathologies, differential diagnosis and possible treatment. Method: The study carried out is of descriptive qualitative scope, a search was carried out in different databases Scielo, Europe PMC, Official Magazine of the Spanish Society of Gynecology and Obstetrics, PubMed and PanAfrican. Results and conclusions: It has been possible to identify that the main clinical manifestations are associated with preeclampsia, however, with a correct and early differential diagnosis it can be distinguished, to proceed with the evaluation of the clinical picture and carry out the most effective treatment which ensure the health of mother and fetus. Ballantyne's syndrome in recent years has had a greater impact, since it has been observed in the description of different clinical pictures, which have allowed us to have a broader vision of the development of the pathology, thus treating it promptly avoiding that is underdiagnosed.
