Abstract

Objective: To determine the proportion of Omicron occurrence according to the region and its main symptomatology. Identify what differences it presents with respect to other variables. Method: Study based on the systematic review of the literature, in which the following databases were taken into account (Medline, PubMed, Scielo, Embase, Google Scholar, Scopus), where different articles based on the theme were found. Results and conclusions: The articles were filtered taking into account inclusion and exclusion criteria, and finally 12 articles remained that met the initially established criteria. In conclusion, it was possible to verify the behavior of the omicron variant of concern, which induced the appearance of a great wave of infections until the moment that it could be evidenced.
