Abstract

Objective: To identify research related to Hypothyroidism in children from 0 to 12 years old belonging to the Ambato canton in the period from January 2020 to June 2022. Method: The research was descriptive. Children born in the period between January 1, 2020 and June 30, 2022 were taken as a sample. Results and conclusions: An early diagnosis and preventive treatment can make the patient have a decent lifestyle, treating with doses levothyroxine exact will allow that there is no variation in the patient's T3 and T4, in such a way that there are no future complications in their intellectual learning. In addition, the importance of medical personnel and their exclusive intervention in the identification of adverse reactions to the drugs used in the treatment of this disease or other pathologies is highlighted.
