Dental traumas in deciduous dentition

Objective: The objective of the present investigation is to identify through the bibliographic review the types of traumatisms that exist in the primary dentition. Methods: Bibliographic methodology was used; identifying from various articles the main problems and derivations of dental trauma in deciduous dentition. Results and conclusions: In the reviewed literature, a high prevalence of traumatic injuries in the temporary dentition was found, among the most common factors prevailing falls at home and during sports activities and games. The different risks are frequent pathologies in childhood, it is important to know how to recognize the injury and its potential severity to make the referral to Dentistry in all cases to avoid the risk of significant sequelae.
