Analysis of maternal death in Ecuador in the period 2017-2021

Objective: The objective of this investigation is to analyze, compare and explain the causes of maternal death in the years 2017-2021. Method: The investigation was documentary, which is specified exclusively in the collection of information from various sources. Results and conclusions: Maternal deaths have been reduced due to the implementation of the Ecuadorian government's maternal death reduction programs, however, there are still worrying figures, so it is necessary to fortify these programs. This problem is a multifactorial tragedy, so mitigating it requires the implementation of talks, coordinated and long-term medical brigades that have full support in the areas of legal, economic, health and educational planning, where the general objective is to inform the pregnant mother of alert signs that endanger the life of the mother, especially in rural areas
