Abstract

Objective: To analyze the microbiome in the placenta and vagina of a pregnant woman. Method: Bibliographic reviews were carried out, web files that maintain a close relationship with the subject of study. Results and conclusions: It was reaffirmed that bacterial vaginosis and trichomoniasis represent a risk in the mother-child relationship: such as premature birth, spontaneous abortions, low birth weight, premature rupture of the membrane and different anomalies in pregnancy. It is concluded that by having anomalies in this microbiota and not detecting them in time, they allow the microbiota habitat to harbor oncological HPV, which leads to precancerous lesions, most of which are undetectable until they reach a point where they cannot be detected. An adequate treatment can be carried out to combat this disease, for this reason cervical cytology is important to detect any pathology in time.
