Afecciones de la hiposalivación en pacientes diabéticos adultos por medio del test xerostomía inventory (XI)

Objetivo: analizar las afecciones de la hiposalivación en pacientes diabéticos adultos utilizando el Test Xerostomía Inventory (XI). Método: Descriptiva documental. Conclusión: La hiposalivación en pacientes diabéticos es un problema de salud significativo que requiere una atención multifacética y basada en la evidencia. La utilización de herramientas como el Xerostomía Inventory y la implementación de estrategias terapéuticas eficaces son cruciales para mejorar la calidad de vida de estos pacientes. La investigación futura debería centrarse en la identificación de intervenciones específicas que puedan mitigar los efectos adversos de la hiposalivación en la población diabética, promoviendo así una mejor salud bucal y bienestar general.
