La influencia de las expectativas familiares en la elección de carreras de salud

Resumen

Objetivo: estudiar la influencia de las expectativas familiares en la elección de carreras de salud por parte de los jóvenes de UNIANDES Ambato – Ecuador. Método: Descriptiva observacional. Resultados: El 83% de los alumnos indica que sus padres y familiares son la principal fuente de financiamiento para sus estudios. Conclusión: La influencia de la familia en la elección de carrera de los estudiantes del área de salud es un factor importante para considerar. Asimismo, la figura de un familiar profesional puede ser un incentivo para los jóvenes aspirantes a ingresar en la Facultad de Ciencias Médicas. Es fundamental que se brinde una adecuada orientación vocacional y educativa para que los estudiantes puedan tomar decisiones informadas y autónomas en su carrera profesional.
