Protocolo de manejo en paciente adulto con hipoplasia maxilar

Objetivo: conocer el manejo que se debe tener con un paciente adulto que presenta hipoplasia maxilar en la consulta odontológica. Método: Revisión sistemática. Resultados y conclusión: Se ha determinado que la hipoplasia maxilar puede tener diferentes causas, incluyendo factores genéticos, hábitos, y alteraciones del desarrollo. La maloclusión clase III, caracterizada por un prognatismo mandibular, puede estar asociada a la hipoplasia maxilar y se recomienda su diagnóstico y tratamiento temprano.
