Factores influyentes del síndrome de desgaste profesional en el personal médico

Objetivo: identificar los factores influyentes por Síndrome de Desgaste Profesional en el personal médico de la Red de Dispensarios Médicos Arquidiócesis de Guayaquil “REDIMA”. Método: Descriptiva observacional. Resultados: se observa que el 34% del total de la población presenta desgaste profesional, de estos el 17% está representado por mujeres y la misma cantidad de hombres; y el 66% no cumple con los criterios de desgaste. Conclusión: en ausencia de errores médicos, el burnout culmina en la disminución de la calidad de la atención médica porque tanto los médicos generales como los médicos especialistas con síntomas de desgaste informan de una reducción de la empatía con el trabajo y desmejoran la calidad de atención al paciente. Esta situación demuestra cómo se debe abordar el problema del síndrome de desgaste profesional en el contexto del trabajo, siendo necesario reconocer que el problema existe y cuáles son sus impactos.
