The objective of this study is to analyze the impact of arts education on the cognitive and emotional development of students. This study is framed in a documentary methodological order, with a bibliographic design. Fifteen scientific articles were selected. The literature review suggests that arts education has significant therapeutic applications, especially in the treatment of neurological conditions and in the prevention of mental health problems. Through artistic exploration and expression, students not only develop technical skills, but also acquire essential emotional competencies, such as empathy, resilience, and the ability to process complex experiences
