Abstract

The objective of this study was to determine the relationship between nonverbal teacher communication and the use of didactic material by pre-school and elementary school teachers of CEBE N° 01 of Chimbote, Peru. The research methodology was based on a correlational type with a non-experimental design. A correlation of 0.108 was obtained, being considered as low positive, indicating the existence of a relationship between both variables, therefore, it is indicated that nonverbal communication is positively related to the didactic material used in the classroom; however, it is necessary in a future research, to study the causes that cause the correlation to be low. The usefulness of socio-affective education is necessary to contribute to the integral formation of the personality and effective nonverbal communication in the classroom, from where the teacher can provide viability to the use of didactic material.
